So it's been a crazy long time since I last posted. I started a full time job, and it's left me very busy over the last couple of months. Unfortunately, I felt that job wasn't for me, so I left it. Back to job searching!
In the meantime, I am trying to get back to working on my shop and building that up. I started selling at the Midland Community Farmer's Market at Midland United Methodist Church here in Midland, GA. It's been a little slow starting up, but I'm getting repeat customers now, coming back to restock on items they have bought to hand out as gifts. I'm so happy to finally see my little shop increasing in sales, especially after having such a slow first 6 months with only 1 sale to my name.
Selling at the market also gives me an opportunity to speak to my local community and find out what new items they would like to see at my stand. This has led me to expand my line of home goods with a new, softer cotton yarn in addition to the one I currently offer. It has worked great! I have some customers that come for the softer cotton, especially those shopping for kids and people with sensitive skin, and I've had people coming for my traditional line for those looking more to exfoliate.
I have also added scrubbies to my home goods line as well. Made from polyester yarn, they are perfect for cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, or any other area that needs a good scrubbing.
